Two Years of Building Ladyship, Differently

Two years isn’t a long time in business, but it is long enough to prove whether an idea has weight. When we launched Ladyship, we knew we didn’t want to build a shinier version of the agency model we were already familiar with. Having both spent decades at global networks and independents, we came out the other side with a clear sense of what worked, what mattered, and what needed to change. So, we built something different.

Over the last couple of years, we’ve shaped a consultancy where strategy and creativity work in lockstep, senior talent, including founders, stays close to the work and candour is considered a responsibility. When you work with Ladyship, you get a partner that has your back and tells it to you straight. And we expect the same in return. It’s tough love, built on mutual respect, and driven by the knowledge that honesty gets us further, faster. After all, you don’t need another Yes Man.

This video, which we shot in the city Jemma now calls home: New York City, captures more of the thinking behind our choices. It’s a reflection of how we work and why we built Ladyship the way that we did. We may not follow the rules of what a traditional agency is supposed to look like, but that was the plan all along.

Proven in the Work

From global enterprises to high-growth start-ups, Ladyship partners with CMOs and founders at defining moments to shape business ambition into brand action that’s clear, sharp and useful in the real world.

Since our launch, we've stood inside the highest-stakes rooms in B2B. We redirected the brand of a $145 billion global conglomerate and gave a newly rebrandedHitachi Digital Services– a global, complex, industry-shaping ecosystem spanning digital engineering, energy, mobility and tech– a narrative sharp enough to align 15+ stakeholders and a design system built to move at the speed of the business. We took GlobalLogic beyond the noise of AI to a powerful positioning that’s differentiated and enduring. We also helped CBTS, a leading IT services company, sharpen an ambitious new vision into a brand designed to deepen existing relationships and accelerate growth across AI, security and infrastructure. We stepped into the founder-led world too, defining the brand of Moonbounce, an AI governance startup fresh off its Series A, tackling one of the most urgent problems in tech: keeping people safe.

That calibre of brief leaves no room for flimsy thinking; it asks for rigour, restraint and the ability to translate complexity into verbal and visual identities people can actually use. And that’s something our global network of talent is uniquely positioned to deliver.

One Team. Seven Cities. Zero Borders.

While Ladyship is intentionally selective by design, our perspective is anything but. As of August 2026, we’re an international group of experts spanning cities, disciplines and lived experiences across time zones from San Francisco, Chicago, New York and London to Barcelona and beyond.

This global perspective matters because, like us, our clients rarely operate in the same rooms. They’re navigating global businesses, multi-market pressures, emerging technologies, cultural shifts and audiences that don’t sit neatly in one place.

Ladyship mirrors that reality. We’re in the same time zones and markets, doing the work with a global perspective naturally built into every brief, and senior thinking that never sleeps on your timeline.

Partnership With Backbone

Partnership is one of Ladyship’s core principles. For us, it means not taking the easy path but standing beside a client with enough candour, care and conviction to help them make better decisions.

Leaders seek out Ladyship because they are often facing defining moments, whether that’s a shift in strategy, a new growth ambition or a complex story that needs to become simple enough for people to believe in and use. In those moments, playing it safe simply isn’t enough.

CMOs, founders and executives need partners who can dig under the surface of the brief, see the business challenge behind the brand request. Who can help them navigate internal dynamics, manage upwards, align stakeholders and step into the room with a clearer point of view.

Our role often goes beyond the work because the work is rarely just the work. That’s why we believe that a large part of leadership is the art of active listening, knowing when to step forward– and when to step back– and creating the conditions where Ladyship and our clients can be bold and brave about what the work needs. We’re direct because we care about the outcome and we challenge because real partnership deserves honesty.

Looking Ahead

There’s a reason Ladyship doesn’t behave like a traditional agency. We seek craftsmanship over production, partnership over transaction and leadership over ego. The standard agency model often sells the idea of scale through size, while we believe scale comes from the right combination of people, perspective and judgement.

One of the most powerful things to happen over the last two years is that Ladyship has become a community. Some of that has been intentional. We actively champion female leaders, support women-led initiatives, show up in rooms that matter, and write candidly about everything from leadership and identity to motherhood. Yet some of it’s happened because our business has a pulse of its own. People gather around Ladyship because they recognise a different model of ambition that doesn’t ask people to become harder or colder in order to be taken seriously.

What Comes Next

Over the last two years, Ladyship has grown to be a curious, kind, whip-smart community of clients, collaborators and people who recognise a different model of ambition. This is proof that a calm, senior-led, women-founded consultancy can grow a commercially robust business without compromising the very things that made it worth building. We’re even prouder of this than the number on our bottom line.

The next chapter of Ladyship will be about taking what works and giving it more reach. We’re looking for more ambitious briefs, defining moments and partnerships with courageous leaders who are ready to sharpen their story and unlock new ways of thinking. If the first two years of Ladyship were proof of intention, now comes proof of scale.
